USchat is designed to operate completely anonymously. We do NOT require your phone number, email address, or social media accounts to sign up. The information we do collect includes:
- Profile Data: Your anonymous username, selected avatar, mood status, brief intro, and selected interests.
- Device ID: An anonymous device identifier token used solely to remember your local profile on your specific device.
- User Content: Text messages, forum posts, and comments you explicitly choose to publish or send.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data collected strictly to operate and maintain the USchat application to provide you with the best matchmaking and chatting experience. Functions include:
- Displaying your profile to other users in the global/city forums or Nearby tab.
- Facilitating the delivery of your private messages to intended recipients.
- Providing location-based matching (using approximate geolocation only while the app is actively checking the Nearby tab).
3. Data Sharing and Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. All messages and user interactions are stored securely. We utilize advanced database encryption and strict Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure that your private data cannot be accessed by anyone other than yourself or your intended message recipient.
4. Content Moderation
To keep the platform safe, we strictly prohibit illegal content, harassment, and severe graphic violence. Users retain the ability to permanently block individuals and report inappropriate behavior. We reserve the right to ban device IDs that maliciously violate these terms.
